Party in Dubai & Let’s Make $$$ in Vegas

How’s that for a title? I just can’t send this week’s email out without personally inviting you to PLEASE come to Vegas on the 5th & 6th of May.  If it sounds like I’m begging so be it.  Making money in Vegas sounds like an oxymoron but honestly, if our Sales Seminar doesn’t load you up with all the things you need to make more money in the second and third quarter then I’ll give you your money back!

If you’ve already registered, you have a $54.00 credit to use on any TrainerTainment product when you get to Vegas. LOOK,  you are already making money.  If you haven’t registered then simply call (817) 886.4840 and let us know you are coming and we will discount your registration $54.00.  It’s an odd number I know, but this savings will pay for your first night of the hotel!

Sunset Stations has offered us a rate of $54, and they have extended that rate until tomorrow night (Friday 4/22). Call TODAY and tell them you are coming.

Finally, this seminar is power-packed:

1.I’ll be teaching a basic “Sales Training” class that is going to help you close more sales and open more doors than ever before.

2.That class is followed up with an interactive “Overcoming Objections” workshop that is a must attend for anyone who’s ever been told no!

3.Laura O’Neal is our talented new Training Coordinator and is going to teach a wonderful class on how to keep yourself and your team motivated.

4.Friday morning I’ll teach a “Target Selling Class” that will help you get into more places to capture more group business and I’ll also include a side of “Birthday Selling” with this class.

5.Finally, I’m very excited to introduce the world to our new Marketing Director, Brooke Ballard.  Brooke has just completed her degree and the ground breaking research she has regarding Social Media is incredible. Our final session includes the work Brooke has done, and just to let you in on a little secret: I thought we were going to be first to receive this information, but we are proud to announce that Brooke has been invited to deliver her presentation to the Undergraduate Research at the State Capitol in Pennsylvania.  I know you are going to NEED this information and it is your chance to be out in front of your competition.

And, from a purely selfish point of view, I’d love to have you at my party.  May is the birth month for TrainerTainment (I can’t believe we’ve been in business for 6 years) and for me personally as well as my oldest daughter Leslie.  It’s our 30/50 and I would love for you to come celebrate with us!

Now on to Dubai: I just completed my around the world trip for the third year in a row. It is an amazing trip but if I ever try to do that from Saturday to Wednesday afternoon I hope someone will stop me! 2 presentations, 7 movies, 2 books, and about 40 hours of flying is just not sane!  And while I believe sanity is overrated I need to make a different plan next time.  I had the great fortune to learn that one of the big chain operations in the area has adopted the TrainerTainment recruiting and audition format.
The feedback was awesome and of course I’m thrilled that the method works in many cultures.  I met a wonderful Party Queen from the Philippines.  Her name is Mai and you can get the complete picture in the upcoming May issue of Replay Magazine

The city is amazing and the people are very kind. Anything an architect has dreamed I think they have built it in Dubai. It is such an honor to be invited to speak and the audience always seems so hungry for service model provided in the United States. While everything that I teach is not completely relevant to the way they do business most of it is accepted with open arms. They use the term “customer care” and I really like that.  My goal is to always teach that we are “in service” to each other but I think it is just as easy to insert the words-“care for one another” and capture the same spirit of service.

The books that I devoured are a must read if you haven’t read them: The Four Obsessions of a CEO and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.

I can’t even remember all the movies I saw but Social Media, the King’s Speech, and Burlesque were all good.  Training and travel have been good this quarter.  Our company has been blessed with business and I thank each of you who give us so much support in so many ways.

It is our goal at TrainerTainment to provide value in the marketplace and to help you increase sales and service in your business. I would love to hear from you.  What challenges do you believe you face during the second quarter? How did you do during the first quarter? Has 2011 started faster or slower then you thought or hoped it would?

For the Love of Dogs!

My friend Mary had a classic sales experience last week.  I couldn’t wait to share it with our readers.  I think there is a real divide between sales and marketing.  Sometimes I watch “what could be great sales people” fall into the category of good because they think that marketing materials are their barrier to gaining sales.

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the BEST marketing piece I’ve seen all month: CLICK HERE to visit our Facebook page and see the picture.

There you have it.  Marketing, and all its’ splendor. This really is a great marketing piece.  When you look at this bit of brilliance you MUST agree that it is indeed a terrific piece of marketing. This flyer contains several excellent sales & marketing elements:

1. A hook: Look at the title.  Dog Lovers – there is a great target market for dog lovers.  The young women who put this campaign together understood that there is safety in numbers.  The number of dog lovers in our country is immense.  I think these marketing neophytes counted on the number of dog lovers in their neighborhood would be big enough to build a business that would be all they could handle.

2. Simplicity: To me, it is very easy to understand the offer.  You have 3 simple choices of services. There’s a definite time for delivery.  The price is clear.  It’s one page.

3. Clarity: I think it is very easy to understand the services.  You can get your dog

a. Walked

b. Sat

c. Or washed

I can tell how much it costs (by the way did you notice the service was listed first and price was at the end!)  I love these girls.  The time, although limited to 3:30-5:00, is clear about when you can receive these services.

4. Value Add: Leashes will be provided if you don’t have a special one!  THIS is priceless.  It says we know you care about your dog; but we care even more!  If you don’t have a special leash, you can count on us to provide that for you (free of charge).

5. Call to action: It is easy to see how to get in touch with this “Dog Lover” service provider.  The phone number says: CALL (that’s call to action)…it’s big and in the center of the marketing piece.  How can you resist!

OKay, I love sales.  I know very little about marketing.  However, I know enough to recognize a GREAT marketing piece when I see it.  The real key to the success of this business venture is HOW these young women used this marketing piece.

They DID NOT just drop their flyer door to door in the neighborhood.

These young businesswomen went door to door with their marketing piece in hand.  They did NOT leave it on the door.  They only gave it out to people who answered their door.  Mary was one of the neighbors who were personally engaged by this great sales team.

These girls knocked on Mary’s door and made a connection.  They handed her the flyer then qualified her by asking if she loved dogs.  They found out how many dogs Mary had and what their names were.  Can you believe this?  They used Lily and Walter’s name in the sales pitch.  I swear to God I’m going to have these girls come to work for me!

There was passion and belief in what they could do for Mary’s dogs and how they could help Mary by saving her time. Their offer was irresistible.  Their marketing piece was not all that professional, but it painted a clear captivating message. I know you are wondering if Mary purchased “dog lover” services.  Do you really need to wonder? I think I even have a great picture of the girls washing Walter and Lily, I just can’t find it.  I’ve been out of the country this week but I assume there is probably a long-term relationship in store for Mary, the dog lover crew, and Walter and Lilly!  We’ll post pictures on our Facebook soon!
